The Tonle Sap Lake is Southeast Asia’s largest and most important freshwater lake. It is the second only to Angkor Wat in terms of popularity and the number of visitors. The lake level is quite shallow, with a maximum depth of only 10 meters, but in the rainy season the lake can hold up to 80 km3 of water.
